Bet Phoenix Sportsbook Review
Normally when people say the words “Bet Phoenix” they are talking about basketball or betting on where the Phoenix Coyotes might move to. Bet Phoenix, however, is actually one of the hottest sportsbooks on the scene right now. It’s young and hip like Anaheim Ducks Right Wing Bobby Ryan, but is it just a flash in the pan or does it have what it takes to last in the competitive world on online gambling?
STARTING SIX (betting options): Bet Phoenix offers some of the best NHL betting of any site we have reviewed here. They offer lines on every game, live betting and even NCAA hockey lines which are hard to find on the internet. They also offer NHL 3-Way Lines which should really be called three period lines because that’s what they are, betting on regulation. Parlays, If Win, If Win Only and Action Reverses are offered on NHL games which many sites don’t offer. There are futures and props available, but they are somewhat limited for hockey. You can switch between American, Decimal and Fractional lines which is always a bonus.
PENALTY SHOT (bonus): Make no mistake about it, Bet Phoenix wants your business offering a 100% bonus as well as SIX other bonuses players can take advantage of. There are restrictions on them and some of them don’t have high limits, but a wide variety of options and decent play through requirements make them a plus.
THE SECOND LINE (extras): The first thing that stood out to me when I signed up for Bet Phoenix was the “Live Casino” where you can play Blackjack, Baccarat and Roulette live with other people. There is a timed period for everyone to place their bets and then the hand is dealt. This can be fun if you like to gamble with your friends online. They are planning on adding Live Bingo in the next year as well. Bet Phoenix also offers something we first covered at Bookmaker, Virtual Horse Racing. There really is nothing quite like betting on horses that aren’t really racing. In addition to these options they also have a regular casino, poker, horse book, bingo and a lottery. Bet Phoenix has more scoring options than the Oilers in the eighties.
DON CHERRY FACTOR (customer service): Live chat is available for people in need of some help as well as toll free phone numbers (including Vietnamese and Chinese operators). The Live Chat is run by Live Person and the operator appears almost instantaneous. Their “Old Version” software is the only version that was available when I tested the site and I found it easy to navigate. There is a “New Version” in development that looks to be a big step up stylistically. There are also a good amount of banking options to choose from for both deposits and withdrawls.
One thing I should note is that on the morning after signing up I received both an email and a phone call from Dutch Van Dyke (a name Don Cherry would surely love.) This really stood out for me and I was glad to get it, except for the fact that I received the phone call at 8:19 in the morning! The customer service is great, but degenerate hockey gamblers like me have west coast games to stay up for and like to get our sleep! Still, the call was nice and definitely went above and beyond.
HE SHOOTS….: HE SCORES! Bet Phoenix is a site that is always improving itself trying to make a name for itself in the highly competitive sportsbook industry. When all is said and done I think they’ll have more than a few Hart Memorial Trophies on their shelf.
